Laura is the Director of Events at GPCA and LAVCA, where she is responsible for planning and execution of LAVCA Week, GPCA’s Investors Meeting and annual GPC Conference, overseeing the planning of both organizations’ domestic and global programs/conferences.
Prior to joining GPCA, Laura worked at NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association, a trade association comprised of 850 independent, family-owned telecommunications companies, where she was responsible for the planning and execution of their large-scale conferences.
Before NTCA, Laura was the Director of Events and Catering Sales at the Hamilton Hotel, a historic luxury-brand hotel based in Washington, DC, where she spearheaded the catering and event sales of a multi-million dollar renovated event space in the heart of downtown DC.
Laura is a Certified Meeting Professional with over ten years of experience in planning successful events and client management. She is a graduate from George Mason University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Events Management. She is an active member of the Professional Convention Management Association and was awarded Connect Association’s 40 under 40s in 2017.
