Global private equity firm Warburg Pincus has reached a final close on its latest global fund, Warburg Pincus Private Equity XII, with US$12 billion in capital commitments. Investors included public and private pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations and wealthy individuals, with considerable participation from investors outside the United States. The fund will invest globally in businesses at all stages of development with a focus on five sectors: energy, financial services, healthcare and consumer, industrial and business services and technology, and media and telecommunications.
