Global private equity firm Warburg Pincus has acquired a minority stake in INEA, a Polish telecommunications operator. The investment is intended to fund the expansion of INEA’s Next Generation Access (NGA) network of cable television and high speed internet offerings throughout western Poland, as well as support consolidation of the sector. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
