Mexico-focused private equity manager WAMEX Private Equity has announced the initial public offering of its portfolio company Hoteles City Express, a budget business hospitality chain, on the Mexican Stock Exchange. The offering amount was US$200 million, and the new financing will be used primarily to further expand the company. WAMEX’s investment in Hoteles is structured through Fund MIF II.
