SCL Energia Activa, a Latin America-focused investor in energy- and power-related assets, has reached a final close for its Americas Energy Fund II with capital commitments of US$247 million. Investors in the fund included family offices, funds of funds, pension funds, endowments and sovereign wealth funds. Latin America-based investors committed approximately 45 percent of the capital, with the remainder coming from investors in Europe, North America and Asia. To date, the fund has invested in five new assets in the energy, power and renewable energy sectors.
