Africa-focused alternative asset management firm Kuramo Capital has led a Series A funding round for Nigeria-based budget airline Green Africa Airways. Along with the new investment, the company has announced the appointment of an advisory board led by Tom Horton, the former CEO & Chairman of American Airlines. Green Africa Airways, which has received an Air Transport License from the Nigerian Government, is currently seeking an Air Operating Certificate and is in conversation with aircraft manufacturers to develop a fleet. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
