CPPIB and Goldman Sachs Lead US$950 Million Restructuring of Enfoca Funds (Latin America)

Peru-focused private equity fund manager Enfoca has completed the restructuring of its Enfoca Descubridor 1, Enfoca Discovery 1 and Enfoca Descubridor 2 funds into a new investment fund with more than US$950 million in capital commitments. The transaction was led by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), which committed US$380 million, and Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Peru-based pension funds Integra, Prima and Profuturo also committed to the new fund, which will target mid-market companies in Peru. Enfoca will serve as the general partner of the new fund and will manage the portfolio post-closing.
