BI Private Equity New Markets (PENM), a part of Danish asset management company BankInvest that offers equity capital to unlisted Vietnamese companies, has purchased an additional 3.5 million shares of Masan Group, a holding company with interests in a variety of sectors including consumer products, financial services and resources, between 12 March and 12 April 2012. As a result, PENM has increased its holding in the company to 53.51 million shares, which represents an approximate 9.7 percent stake.
