Altra Investments, a buyout firm focused on the Andean region, has announced the final close of its second private equity fund, Altra Private Equity Fund II, with US$355.8 million in capital commitments. The fund raised capital from public and private pension funds, funds of funds, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, endowments and foundations. Altra’s strategy is to acquire controlling stakes in midcap companies through equity investments between US$20 million and US$50 million.
