Médica Santa Carmen, a Mexico-based operator of a network of healthcare clinics, has raised US$7 million in a round of funding from Mexico-focused healthcare venture capital firm Antoni & Lelo de Larrea Venture Partners (ALLVP), as well as the Fondo de Impacto Social of Nacional Monte de Piedad, a Mexico-based non-profit lender. ALLVP’s investment was structured through Venture Innovation Fund II. Médica Santa Carmen plans to use the new capital to grow from three to 25 clinics by 2019.
