Global investment firm KKR has agreed to invest US$81.2 million for a 10.44 percent stake in Indonesia-based agricultural supplier Japfa’s major subsidiary Japfa Comfeed Indonesia. The investment, which will be structured through KKR’s Asian Fund II, involves a private placement and a share sale. Both are part of an overall strategy to strengthen Japfa’s balance sheet. The transaction is conditional upon the approval of the issue of new shares by Japfa's shareholders.
