Global private equity fund manager Northgate Capital has acquired a majority stake in Elara Comunicaciones, a Mexico-based satellite telecommunication and technology services company. Northgate will invest up to US$38 million in the company through both primary and secondary transactions. Elara will use the fresh capital to expand its product offerings and geographic coverage.
