Global investment firm Tiger Global has led a Series A financing round for Brazil-based taxi app 99Taxis. Previous backers Monashees Capital, a Brazil-focused venture capital firm, and Qualcomm Ventures, the global investment arm of Qualcomm, also participated in the round. The company intends to use the investment to strengthen its platform and to accelerate the launch of new features for corporate and individual customers. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
