Darby Private Equity, the private equity arm of Franklin Templeton Investments, has made a significant investment in Ecuador-based Cobis Systems Corporation, provider of software and services to financial institutions. Details of the transaction, which was structured through Darby ProBanco Fund II, were not disclosed. Corbis intends to use the capital injection to roll-out new technologies to help its client banks face regulatory requirements and improve efficiency.
