Global private equity fund manager Advent International, which agreed to acquire an 80 percent stake in Walmart Brasil in June 2018, has agreed to invest BRL1.9 billion (approximately US$463 million) in the company’s existing operations across three installments. Advent, which completed the first capital increase of BRL750 million (approximately US$183 million) in August 2018, plans to invest another BRL750 million in August 2019 and deploy the remaining amount by 2021.
