Singapore-based electronics and furniture retailer Courts Asia, a portfolio company of Asian private equity firm Baring Private Equity Asia, made its debut on the Singapore Exchange on 8 October 2012. Courts Asia offered 178 million shares, 44 percent of which were purchased by four cornerstone investors: JF Asset Management, New Silk Road Investment, Target Asset Management and Value Partners Hong Kong. Courts Asia was reportedly seeking to raise SGD137 million (approximately US$112.1 million) from the offering.
