Baida Impact Squared, a VC fund managed by Silicon Badia, has reached a USD36m first close. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) committed USD10m to the fund which will invest in early-stage tech companies in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, and Tunisia, with a principal focus on Jordan and Egypt.
