NBK Capital Partners, an alternative investment firm focused on the Middle East and North Africa, has completed a sharia-compliant mezzanine investment in Saudi Arabia-based energy rental company Energia Model Trading & Contracting. The company, which provides generators for short- and long-term projects in the oil & gas, utilities, industrials and infrastructure sectors, will use the funds to facilitate its acquisition of United Arab Emirates-based Al Faris Equipment Rental’s energy rental business. NBK invested through NBK Capital Partners Mezzanine Fund II. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
